Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Livelocks iOS app and this website (together, the "Service"), operated by Livelocks. By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Livelocks. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

What Livelocks does

Livelocks renders hairstyle previews on your live camera feed using AI. It's a preview tool to help you explore how a cut might look — it is not a guarantee of what a stylist will produce, and results can vary from the final haircut.

No accounts

Livelocks requires no account and no sign-in. You get a limited free trial identified by an anonymous identifier generated by iOS for the app on your device, and anything you buy is tied to that device. Credit packs stay with the device they were bought on and don't move to a new phone. A subscription can be moved to a new phone with Restore Purchases, which carries over the current period's remaining seconds. Keep that in mind before buying.

Credits, subscriptions and purchases

• Livelocks is time-based. You get a limited number of free live seconds, and can buy more in two ways through the App Store: one-time credit packs, or Livelocks Monthly, an auto-renewing subscription.
• Credit packs are consumable in-app purchases. The seconds in a pack don't expire and there is no recurring charge.
• Livelocks Monthly renews automatically every month at the price shown in the App Store at the time of purchase ($9.99 per month in the United States; pricing varies by country) until you cancel. Each billing period gives you a fresh allowance of live seconds — currently 2 minutes — and unused subscription seconds don't carry over to the next period. Subscription seconds are used before credit-pack seconds.
• You can cancel the subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. After cancelling, you keep the remaining seconds until the period ends.
• Purchases are billed and processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled under Apple's App Store refund policy, not by us directly. If Apple refunds a purchase, the live seconds it granted are removed from your balance.
• Live seconds have no cash value, are non-transferable, and can't be exchanged for money.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Point the camera at someone else without their consent to generate a try-on of their likeness.
• Use the Service to create misleading, deceptive, or harmful content.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the Service or its underlying AI models.
• Use the Service in a way that violates any law or third party's rights.

Third-party services

Livelocks relies on third-party providers — including fal.ai/Decart for live rendering, Convex for backend infrastructure, and Apple and RevenueCat for purchases — to operate. Your use of the Service is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and, where applicable, those providers' own terms.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." Live previews are AI-generated approximations and may not precisely match how a style will look on you in person. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Livelocks is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions you make about a haircut based on a preview.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these terms. You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to delete the record associated with your device by contacting us.

Changes

We may update these terms as the Service changes. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
